United Behavioral Transitions provides alternative positive intervention with those with moderate to severe behavioral challenges. The focal point of intervention is offering adaptive skills training as an alternative to replace targeted behaviors. Intervention with an individual is to begin a rapport by offering positive and tangible reinforcement with the intent to reduce behavioral episodes. UBT works in tandem with the individual’s medical professionals and employs its own behavioral consultants. In part, a behavioral and individual program plan is adhered to meet the individual’s needs. To support an individual that may be at risk, UBT prioritizes emergency crisis planning to ensure safety. All members on the UBT team are professionally trained and are, i.e. licensed or certified to provide Crisis Prevention Intervention (CPI). Though CPI is a qualified certification, UBT only uses this type of intervention as a last resort.
